I met Rocco years and years ago at an American Cancer Society event, Bark For Life. Since then, I’ve been following his mom on Instagram and have been keeping tabs on this handsome black Cocker Spaniel. I was tickled pink when his mom decided to move forward and book a session for him!
After many weather delays, we finally lucked out on a lovely sunny December afternoon. We visited Rocco’s old stomping grounds, Latta Park in Dilworth. He used to walk there almost every day when his mom lived in the area. I could tell he instantly knew where he was and, with his head held high, he started to show us around. :)
Even though most of the leaves had fallen off the trees by December, the golden winter sun sparkled through the woods creating some gorgeous warm lighting. Rocco looked UH-mazing among the leaf-strewn pathways and quaint pedestrian bridges. And add his mom in there? Yeah…magic.
